HOW TO BECOME A REAL ESTATE AGENT IN AUSTRALIA?

To become a real estate agent in Australia you must acquire a Certificate of Registration (QLD in-class, QLD online, NSWor an Agents Representative Certificate (VIC) from an accredited training organisation such as REAA. Registration courses can vary in length and content depending on the organisation delivering them but all providers must adhere to the 3-7 units of competency required by the office of fair trading. QLD Certificate Of Registration Course

If you want to work in Queensland’s real estate industry, you need to complete REAA’s Certificate of Registration Course. This course will qualify you to join an existing professional practice as a supervised real estate salesperson or property manager in Queensland.

This course includes 12 units of competency from the CPP41419 Certificate IV Real Estate Practice, which is the necessary qualification to start your career in the property industry in Queensland.

NSW Certificate Of Registration Course

To work as a real estate agent in NSW, you need to complete the Real Estate Licence course. This course will qualify you to sell, lease and manage real estate on behalf of clients. You can work as a real estate agent under the supervision of a Licensee in Charge (LIC) or run your own agency as a LIC.

This course consists of 18 units of competency from the CPP41419 Certificate IV Real Estate Practice qualification, which is the necessary qualification to start your career in real estate in NSW. VIC Agent Representative Certificate Course

An agent’s representative is employed by or acts for a licensed estate agent, and with written authority, can perform any of the legal functions of that estate agent. For example, an agent’s representative can act as a salesperson or property manager but cannot operate a real estate agency business.

As part of REAA’s agent representative course, you will have access to 18 units of competency which make up the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice which is the required educational qualification to enter the industry and work as an Agents Representative. In this course you will learn many different skills, including how to interpret ethical practice, understand marketing and communication profiles and so much more.
