Payment & Refunds
The easiest way to secure a seat in our courses is via our online enrolment system. Simply choose your desired Location and Course via our Quick Booking Calendar on our Home Page, or alternatively you can view all courses.
There are three payment options:
- Credit Card: VISA/Mastercard
- EFT: If you choose this option when enrolling, you will be provided with the account details of Real Estate Academy Australia. You will need to transfer or deposit the course fee in order to complete your enrolment. Please note, until the funds are received, your seat cannot be confirmed. Please allow 48 hours for EFT payments.
There are currently no payment options available, however, you can secure a seat in following courses with a deposit:
- Agent Licence (Licensee/Principal) course: deposit of $1000 (balance payable upon commencement of the course).
- There are payment assistance options available to eligible people through numerous government funding schemes or employment agencies.
Yes, RPL is offered for SOME units of competency with REAA.
The most common form of RPL is for those people who are enrolling into the Upgrade from Certificate to Licence Course. If you hold a Real Estate Registration Certificate under the OLD training package (PRDE), you can apply for RPL. To be eligible, you have to have a current registration and be working in the real estate industry to apply for RPL.
The cost of RPL starts at $399.00. For more information, please contact REAA.
Either full payment or a deposit payment is required upon to secure your enrolment in a course. Your seat will not be secured until either:
– a full course payment is received (if full course cost is under $1000)
– a full deposit payment of $1000 is received (if full course cost is over $1000)
REAA is unable to hold seats for people as each course has a limited number of seats available. Regardless, full payment (if course is under $1000) is required before course commencement.

Currently each state and territory has their own requirements to be able to work in the real estate industry. Some states and territories mutually recognise all or some of the qualifications. For example, if you hold a QLD Registration Certificate, you can apply for mutual recognition in NSW. Yes. There are two options depending on when you gained your original Registration Certificate.
If you hold a current registration certificate from the current training package (CPP40307) you will qualify for the Upgrade to Full Agents Licence course. This information can be found on your original Statement of Attainment or from the training provider you completed your certificate course with. Usually, if you gained your registration certificate AFTER 2009, you will have completed the course content under the CPP40307 training package.
If you hold a current registration certificate from the old training package (PRDRE), usually completed BEFORE 2009, and wish to gain your full licence, you may not qualify for the “Upgrade” course. This information can be found on your original Statement of Attainment or from the training provider you completed your certificate course with. If this is the case, the quickest, most cost effective option will be to complete the Licensee/Principal Agents Licence course. The Office of Fair Trading QLD will not accept your registration certificate statement of attainment (SOA) and upgrade SOA from two different training packages.
A Registration Certificate allows you to work in real estate under a fully licensed agent or agency. It is a requirement of law to hold a Registration Certificate if you are working in an agency performing duties of a Salesperson, Property Manager, Assistant or even in some cases Administration.
An Agent’s Licence (Licensee/Principal) is required if you are wanting to own an agency, manage an agency or work for yourself.
The Registration Certificate course is what you require by law to work in the Queensland real estate industry under a fully licensed agent or agency. This certificate will allow you to work as a Salesperson, Property Manager or even in an assistant/administrative role.
The Registration Certificate course will cover the 7 units of competency required by the Office of Fair Trading.
The Licensee/Principal Agents course is what you require by law to own or manage your own Real Estate agency or work for yourself without the need to be working with an established agency. This licence will allow you to work in sales, property management or as a resident letting agent.
The Licensee/Principal Agents course will cover the 19 units of competency required by the Office of Fair Trading.
The Upgrade from Certificate to Licence course is what you require by law if you wish to go from holding a current registration certificate to holding a Licensee/Principal Agents licence. This course is generally for people currently working in the industry wanting the ability to own or manage a real estate agency.
To qualify for the “Upgrade” course you need to hold a registration certification from the current training package (CPP40307). If you hold a registration certificate from the older training package (PRDRE) and wish to gain your full licence, you may not qualify for the “Upgrade” course. This information can be found on your original Statement of Attainment or from the training provider you completed your certificate course with.
The Upgrade course will cover the remaining 12 units of competency required by the Office of Fair Trading.

The Senior Property Management Program focusses on the day-to-day operations of a property management department. With the Queensland Registration Course only providing one module of property management content, the Senior Property Management Program will give you greater skills and knowledge to perform the duties of a property manager and excel in your real estate career. The Registration Certificate course is a requirement of law to be a property manager in QLD; however the Senior Property Management Program e is an essential for anyone wanting the best start or boost to his or her career. Yes. Real Estate Academy Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 32426) delivering nationally accredited courses in Queensland real estate certificates and licensing.
Before you get started, you will need to know your Unique Student Identifier or USI. The USI is a unique number issued by the Australian government and allocated to you to keep track of all your nationally recognised training activities. It is a requirement that we collect this information during registration so your courses with REAA can be added to your training record.
Creating a USI is free. It creates a secure online record of your nationally recognised training that you can access anytime and anywhere, and it’s yours for life.
If you don’t have a USI, or have forgotten your USI, please click here to register or recover it. To create your USI you will need one form of ID from the following; Driver’s Licence, Medicare Card, Australian Passport, Visa (with Non-Australian Passport) for international students, Birth Certificate (Australian) *please note a Birth Certificate extract is not sufficient, Certificate Of Registration By Descent, Citizenship Certificate, ImmiCard. You will not be able to commence your training until you have provided your USI.
If you purchased a course on iOS or Android, it's possible that the course was not registered to your account. Please email your purchase receipt to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Multiple e-mail accounts
If you use multiple e-mail accounts, or have a Facebook or Google account, try logging in with the associate e-mail addresses.
Once you enrol, you will receive a confirmation email with all course details of where to go, what to bring and how to dress etc.
What you will need to bring:
- Laptop Computer (Mac or Windows based). If you do not have a suitable laptop, you can hire one from REAA for $15 per day of training (available only at the Brisbane Training Centre). Please contact us if you will require this service prior to course commencement.
- Your Unique Student Identifier (USI). To obtain your USI, click here.
- One form of identification i.e. Drivers Licence, Medicare Card, Australian Passport, Visa (with Non-Australian Passport), Citizenship Certificate or ImmiCard
- Smartly dressed in Business Attire.
Light Refreshments i.e. tea, coffee, soft drink, water and biscuits are provided throughout the course. Lunches can be brought and stored in our fridge. Coles and other food shops are located across the road in Lutwyche Centro food court.
ONLY the Full Agent Licence (Licensee/Principal) can be split into the following agenda:
- 2 days (Real Estate Registration Certificate Course)
- and then 3 days (Upgrade from Certificate to Full Licence Course)
To do this, you will need to complete two separate enrolments;
All of the REAA trainers have been through a strict process to earn a spot on our team. Each trainer is currently operating within the real estate industry and together, they have over 30 years of combined industry experience.
There are no pre-requisites needed to enrol in a course. Once we have received your enrolment, you will be notified of the details along with your confirmation.
There are certain requirements of the Office of Fair Trading that must be met to be able to apply for your Real Estate Registration Certificate or Licence. To be eligible for a Real Estate Registration Certificate, you must:
> be 18 years or over
> pass the required training course
You will not be eligible to register as a real estate sales person/property manager if you are:
> are currently disqualified from holding a licence or registration certificate
> have been convicted within the past 5 years of a serious offence

All courses held in Brisbane are conducted from 8:45am to 5:45pm each day of training.
All courses held on the Gold Coast are conducted from 8:15am to 5:15pm each day of training.
REAA is a classroom based training organisation, delivering real estate courses in South-East Queensland. However, our allied business, National Real Estate Learning delivers online real estate training in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Classroom based training is always recommended as you have great interaction with our industry leading trainers. www.NREL.edu.au is an option to suit the needs of students not living in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, students already working in the real estate industry or those students having difficulty finding 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days to attend a classroom based real estate training course.
