The Certificate of Registration Course is the minimum educational requirement you need to work for a professional practice in the Queensland real estate industry.
This course is online self-paced, the time it takes you to complete the course is up to you as you can do as much or as little as you want at a pace that suits you within the maximum timeframe.
The Certificate of Registration Course is the minimum educational requirement you need to work for a professional practice in the Queensland real estate industry. It allows you to work for an established real estate agency, under the supervision of a Principal Licensee in Charge as a real estate salesperson or property manager in Queensland.
As part of this course, you will have access to 12 units of competency from the CPP41419 Certificate IV Real Estate Practice which is the required educational qualification to enter the industry within Queensland.

Note: ALL students are required to obtain a UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI). Your Statement of Attainment cannot be issued if you have not provided us with your USI. For more information, or to apply for your USI, visit www.usi.gov.au.
You have up to 6 months to complete the course. As it is an online and completely self-paced course you can work through the content and assessment within your own time and at your own pace within this time frame. The course consists of assessment tasks, questions, and video role plays.
Through each unit, you will gain insights and skills relating to marketing and communication profiles, property inspections, property management, real estate sales and managing buyer relationships. You will also learn to interpret ethical practice in real estate, understanding how to reduce financial and reputational risks, meet consumer protection standards, and deal responsibly with ethical breaches and challenges.
All units of competency and course content are nationally accredited and recognised by the QLD Office of Fair Trading.
Once you have completed and submitted all of your course assessments you will be asked to activate your grading. From here, your assessments will be marked by REAA’s assessing team and when deemed satisfactory in all assessments we will verify your account and you will receive your Statement of Attainment. Following this, you are required to apply directly to the QLD Office of Fair Trading for your Certificate and to then complete your real estate salesperson registration.
Yes, completing the role plays is a mandatory part of this course. They are required to demonstrate your competence in line with the unit of competency. The role plays are designed to simulate real-world interactions in the real estate industry, and submitting them is essential to be deemed competent in the course.
These role plays are intended to prepare you for real-world interactions in real estate. Role plays will be a routine requirement when working in the industry and part of your ongoing professional development. If you’re unable to complete the role plays in person with another person, you have the option to perform them via video platforms like Zoom. You can complete the role plays with a friend, family member or even purchase one-on-one assisted role play sessions via the REAA website.
